Manufacturing WM an area within Connect WM is providing a centralised reference point from where regional based manufactures are highlighted as to their specialism of manufacture.

The old days of manufacturing are fast being put behind us and today see’s a whole new advanced manufacturing industry with low carbon initiatives and innovation all high on the to do list.

Perhaps not fully realised or just taken for granted manufacturing in the West Midlands still contributes greatly to the local economy, not only through the sales of its products, but also through development, innovation and job creation.

Many local manufactures are good at what they do which is making things, but when talking to many its fair to say that they nearly all agreed that creating awareness and self promotion is not necessarily one of their strong points.

For this reason our intention is to provide initially an online facility to be able to connect manufacturing in the West Midlands, and through ongoing development look to work with industry specific organisations to provide a firm benefit to those manufacturing businesses within the West Midlands region.
