Work PR expands existing service offering following series of account wins

Following a series of new account wins, full-service agency, Work PR, has promoted Matt Long to the position of Account Manager and appointed Jamie Sommerville as its new Digital Marketing Executive.

After a year with the agency as an Account Executive, Matt has been given the opportunity to move into a more senior role, having successfully delivered high-quality results across a number of key accounts.

Jamie joins WorkPR with a wealth of social media experience, having spent the last few years creating strategies and content for various London-based agencies.

Within this new position, Matt will take on more client-management responsibilities, working closely with businesses to provide PR and social media support, while drawing on Jamie’s expertise to assist with the day-to-day management of accounts.

Committed to the personal development of its people, Work PR has built its reputation for mentoring employees and supporting them with their personal and professional growth.

Commenting on his new position, Long said: “It’s gratifying to be given an opportunity to step up within the agency and continue delivering work within a more senior position, where I feel I can offer the most value to our clients.

“Having previously worked for other Birmingham-based agencies, I have had the chance to work closely with a range of clients from different industries, giving me the experience needed to successfully move up within the business.

“The diversity of the work completed keeps the whole team motivated, covering a range of technical topics, from the monthly updates to Microsoft’s Power BI programme to the impact the metal market has on the automotive industry – every day is certainly a school day!

“Work PR has been a perfect fit, allowing me to realise my true potential through the close support and guidance of the senior team who have allowed me to work closely with clients.

“I’m looking forward to continuing my work within this new position, exceeding the expectations of our clients and building a platform to capitalise on recent business growth.”

David Bailey, Managing Director at Work PR, added: “As an agency, we are firm believers that all our people should be given the opportunity to achieve their full potential and prove themselves, regardless of their level or experience.

“Since joining the business, Matt has demonstrated a willingness to roll up his sleeves and get stuck in, delivering work of consistently high quality across a range of accounts.

“Often representing the agency at networking events and client meetings, we feel as though now is the right time for Matt to step up into an Account Manager role, overseeing work alongside some of our newest clients.

“The demand for Digital Marketing has also grown significantly over the past six months, and our ability to attract a talented social media professional, like Jamie, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to quality.

“We’re very pleased that both have accepted their new positions, and we will be looking to recruit other highly motivated individuals to facilitate further business growth.”
