IMHX Gearing Up for Biggest Show Yet

IMHX, the UK’s leading logistics showcase exhibition, is set to welcome a record number of visitors and exhibitors when it returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 13-16 September 2016. The triennial show which launched in 2001 expects to welcome over 20,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors.

To accommodate the additional demand, IMHX will now use five of the NEC’s flexible halls instead of four, increasing its floor space from 28,000sqm to 35,000sqm.

Commenting on the show’s growth, Rob Fisher, IMHX Event Director, said: “We are delighted to welcome a whole host of new and returning exhibitors and visitors this year. The growth we have experienced this cycle is particularly pleasing given that IMHX is a mature event within its sector. The NEC has proved to be the perfect venue for the show; not only has it allowed us to grow with ease, it is also located in the heart of the logistics triangle and is extremely accessible for our exhibitors and visitors. We look forward to the biggest and best IMHX yet.”

Sophie Gardner, a Senior Account Manager at the NEC, said: “We are always delighted to see events at our venue experiencing growth, especially one as established as IMHX. Since the events the last outing in 2013, Resorts World Birmingham opened on our site and the organisers have chosen it as the location for their Awards ceremony. The leisure and entertainment complex offers a new element to the customer experience allowing exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to work, rest or play outside the hours of the exhibition. It’s a fantastic addition to the site and we are pleased that our organisers are now utilising its facilities.”

Sponsored by financial services provider, Investec, IMHX is more than just exhibition and consists of a number of visitor attractions, including free to attend seminars; the Future Skills Zone which is a dedicated area providing information on apprenticeships and careers, and the RTITB Fork Lift Truck Operator of the Year competition.
