HSBC Launches Mentor Club To Develop Business Owners

HSBC has become the first banking institution in the UK to launch a Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Club for its high-growth business banking customers.

Working in partnership with The Diverse Entrepreneur Network (The DEN), HSBC has chosen Birmingham as its first UK location for this exciting new initiative, as part of its commitment to supporting business owners from across the region.

The HSBC DEN Midlands has been created to support business owners with a turnover up to £3 million per year.

Using the monthly peer development format of The DEN, combined with bespoke support from HSBC, business owners will have the opportunity to overcome their challenges and accelerate their own business growth by learning from the real life experiences and practical business solutions used by other business owners.

Debbie Chilton, Midlands Head of HSBC Business Banking said: “This is a really exciting opportunity, our clients have told us that they are looking for just this type of support, and we are delighted to be able to be part of this initiative.”

As a member of the HSBC DEN, business owners will also receive support with their own personal goals, business strategy planning and receive insights and tips from industry leaders.

A networking event to launch the HSBC DEN Midlands pilot programme, will take place on Wednesday, 26 September 2012 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, at HSBC Offices, Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham.

This launch event is open to growing businesses in the region, but places are limited and must be booked in advance.
