Electrical Testing Company Secures Six-figure Sum For Software Development

Martyn Jupp, Director of Staffordshire based company Electrotest Services Limited is ‘over the moon' after securing a six-figure sum enabling the company to invest in new software development.

Electrotest Services was established in 1991 and has grown considerably during the past 20 years. Offering comprehensive services in electrical, fire and security compliance, their key areas of expertise include Fixed wiring inspections, fire and security and PAT Testing.

The new software development will allow the company to increase productivity by 20%, enabling their workforce of 100 field engineers to easily and quickly input test result data into handheld units. “This will have a dramatic effect on both increasing profits, improving cash flow and allowing us to be more competitive; it will also reduce our levels of work in progress because reports are generated immediately after an engineer has finished an inspection,” said Director, Martyn Jupp. “This will ultimately enable us to win more contracts.”

To enable the development, Martyn enlisted the help of Steve Harris and Alison Bradley from Central Finance, a West Midland-based financial advisory firm, who assisted the company in raising the six-figure finance package.

“We approached Central Finance earlier this year to help to raise the finance that we needed. They quickly and easily fulfilled our financial requirements, with the funds being agreed and paid to us extremely quickly, “continued Martyn. “Central Finance has been instrumental in making this development happen. It has also been a pleasure to deal with Steve and Alison.”

“We are delighted to have been able to assist Martyn and Electrotest Services,” commented Central Finance’s Alison Bradley. “We could see from the start that the company had an excellent opportunity to develop and we had no doubt that we could raise the required finance very quickly.”
