We’re hugely excited to be announcing a number of key strategic changes to our Board of Directors which will bring significant benefits to our Policyholders and the wider communities we are so proud to serve.

Longstanding Board Member Dennis Whitmore has been appointed as Paycare’s new Chairman, and takes over the reins from Donald McIntosh who will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Former Financial Director of leading manufacturing business Clamason Industries, Dennis has been on Paycare’s Board since 2004 and previously served as Chairman from 2007 to 2012.  He was appointed Chair of the organisation’s Audit and Risk Committee in 2013.

Kevin Rogers, CEO of Paycare, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Dennis once again as Paycare Chairman, a hugely experienced individual who has, over the past 13 years, been an integral member of the Board.  We’re absolutely confident that under his expert leadership, we will continue to go from strength to strength as an organisation, and that we’ll be hugely successful in further enhancing the services we provide.

“We would also like to offer our sincerest gratitude to Donald for his services to Paycare.  He has made a significant contribution to the organisation for over a decade and, in particular, during his five-year term as Chairman.  His knowledge and experience across the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors have been absolutely invaluable in helping to shape the future of the organisation, and we very much looking forward to continuing to work alongside him over the months and years ahead.”

The Board has also appointed an additional senior-level professional as a Non-Executive Director.  Managing Director of West Midlands’ based i-Secured, Jezz Gobran, brings a wealth of experience across a diverse range of business sectors and, in particular, will be advising the Paycare Board on all areas of information governance and compliance.

The new Chair of the organisation’s Audit and Risk Committee will be Louise Carter-Sheckleford, currently Financial Controller at Clamason Industries Ltd who has been a Non-Executive Director of Paycare since August 2015.

Kevin continued: “We’re hugely excited to be bringing the extensive experience of these individuals together which will greatly support and complement our exciting plans for the future across all areas of the business.”

A well-respected and dedicated not-for-profit health cover provider, Paycare has helped individuals, families and businesses across the Black Country and Wolverhampton protect themselves against everyday healthcare costs and bills for over 140 years.  It has to-date donated over £2million to worthwhile causes, initiatives and projects UK-wide.
